32nd KSC Shows the Real Meaning of "Good Neighbor"
DAEGU GARRISON — Members of the 32nd KSC Company (Korean Service Corps), USAG Daegu showed their concern and support for a local Korean national resident, May 8 by delivering care packages containing items important to day-to-day comfort. According to Yun Song-Hwan, Commander, 32nd KSC Company, the man, who has no family was a fellow citizen in need.
“The main purpose of the visit to the home of the local resident was to show that we care about our neighbors and the neighborhood, and we want to provide support in any way that we can,” he said.
The visit soundly expressed the meaning of the Good Neighbor Program. With their vehicles loaded to capacity, members of the 32nd KSC made their way to the elderly gentleman’s home where he warmly welcomed and received a variety of household items. Pillows, a blanket, and toiletries were among them. The visit was indeed timely as across the Korean peninsula, citizens celebrated Mother’s and or Parents Day.
Also participating in this Good Neighbor effort was Lee, Jong Eh, Chief of Nam Gu Chung Health Center, and Kim, Suk Gyung, also from Nam Gu. The two healthcare representatives have played an important role in the care of the senior citizen, who responded to the kindness shown by them and KSC saying, “Thank you for all the gifts and the care. I am really thankful for everything that you’ve done.”
