Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Cookie Social set for Dec. 12
Calling all elves, reindeer and gingerbread men and women! All Directorates, Private Organizations, Tenant Units and Family Readiness Groups are invited to be a part of The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Cookie Social, held Dec. 12, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at Transformation Park.
Organizations are encouraged to bring your creativity, innovation and tinsel to decorate your individual unit Christmas trees. Reservations are available on a first-come, first served basis by contacting the Family and MWR Special Events Coordinator, Ryan J. Noble, at 753-8820, NLT Dec. 5 or as space is available.
Family and MWR will provide 7.5 foot Christmas trees to first come first serve organizations. (Trees are limited.) Participants should plan to have trees installed NLT Dec. 10, at Transformation Park. All necessary supplies, decorations and décor are solely an organization responsibility.
The most Christmas Spirit filled units and organizations will be eligible to win the Christmas Tree Spirit Award. Prizes, which will go toward the Unit Fund, are: 1st: $300; 2nd: $200; 3rd: $100.
Private Organizations and FRG Groups are eligible to win prize baskets for first, second and third place, as well.
Also, the USAG Humphreys Annual Christmas Dessert Bake Off is happening.
Grab your oven mitts, aprons, chef hats and family recipes to compete in the best of the best of tasty treats on USAG Humphreys. Join Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation at the annual Christmas Tree Ceremony Cookie Socia, in the Community Activity Center, from 6-8:30 p.m.

All tasty desserts need to be dropped off for presentation and judging NLT Dec. 12, at 10 a.m., inside the Community Activity Center ballroom.
Desserts will be judged on creativity, taste, presentation and baking skill by hand selected FMWR and Garrison officials. Judging will take place at 11 a.m. Award baskets will be presented on stage for first, second and third at the Cookie Social.
