The Annual Overseas Housing Allowance (OHA) Utility Survey for Korea commences on 15 April 2014 and continues through 15 May 2014. The survey collects utility and recurring maintenance expense data from service members receiving OHA to compute OHA allowances as well as move-in expenses for service members worldwide.

All service members who reside off-post and receive OHA should take the survey online at http://176fmc.korea.army.mil/ or at https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/oha/survey/novoha.html.

Why is the survey important? OHA is a valuable entitlement for service members stationed overseas. The survey enables the Department of Defense to set equitable OHA rates around the world. To complete the survey, supporters should review actual bills or records of their utility expenses for the last six or more months, as the survey requires a monthly average for utilities and maintenance. Respondents whose rent includes utilities are not required to report the actual monthly average of utility bills, as their OHA already includes a monthly flat rate utility supplement.
