The United States Forces Korea Engineers hosted an inaugural "Tour de Seoul" bike ride over the Chuseok holiday.  Over forty participants from the Yongsan area, to include many from the local Engineer community, participated in the event.  The caravan of bicyclists looped around the northern Seoul metropolitan area, making stops at City hall, The Blue House, and the Dongdaemun shopping district.  The day's activities concluded with a final stretch along the Han River bike path.  In total the group travelled approximately thirty kilometers around the Seoul area.  U.S. and R.O.K. Military personnel, civilians, and families participated in the bike ride.  USFK Engineers plans to host a second bike ride next Fall to continue this new founded tradition. The city of Seoul provided a group of civilian government biker volunteers known as the "Seoul Patrol" who escorted the group across the metropolitan area.
