YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea --Soldiers of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, United States Army Garrison Yongsan welcomed a new First Sergeant during a change of responsibility ceremony here, Sept. 6.

Soldiers of HHC stood in formation as the company guidon was passed from Sgt. 1st Class Ronald Nagy to the 1st Sgt. Donna S. Swan.

"Sgt. 1st Class Nagy was not only a great leader, but a friend who I have really learned a lot from, said Capt. Vladislav Silayev, company commander for HHC, USAG Yongsan. "He will really be missed and appreciated for all his hard work and dedication to this unit."

Nagy showed his appreciation to everyone that played a big role in helping him to accomplish the Garrison mission every day.

"HHC has had minimum incidents since Sgt. 1st Class Nagy took responsibility of this unit as first sergeant and that says a lot about him as a leader," said Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel L. Willing, command sergeant major of USAG Yongsan.

Swan, who pinned on her diamond during a frocking ceremony immediately before the change of responsibility, shared her thoughts and appreciation to the Garrison and everyone for coming out to the ceremony.

"I would like thank Command Sgt. Maj. Willing for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this unit and look forward to serving with Capt. Silayev," she said. "Sgt. 1st Class Nagy's outstanding leadership will never be forgotten."
