SEOUL — The South Korea Chapter of the Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) has topped its global competition in the award for Outstanding Large Chapter of the year. NCOA Korea-Dragon Hill Chapter 1507 was named the Outstanding Large Chapter of the Year at the Association’s National Convention in Las Vegas on 18 July 23, 2013.

It marks the 6th time the chapter has won the honor. “This wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of the Members, Support of the Yongsan Garrison Command and last but certainly not least the support of our Sponsors.” “It’s icing on the cake for what we do,” said Joe Terry, Chapter Chairman. The chapter was recognized for sponsoring many service member programs, civic and school organizations, as well as donating to Community charities. The NCOA is comprised of divisions for active-duty non-commissioned officers of all branches of the military, junior enlisted members, veterans, retirees and spouses. It has more than 60,000 members and 70 Chapters worldwide.

Other Award winners were the Lady Guinevere for the Auxiliary Chapter of the Year and the Frontier Chapter is the Small Chapter of the Year.
