Kunsan Olympics scheduled for Sept. 20
KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - Following the excitement from the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, the Wolf Pack will hold its own version of the Summer Games on Sept. 20.
The 8th Fighter Wing and Republic of Korea Air Force's 38th Fighter Group will co-host the day's events, where they will go head-to-head in several sports and activities as they represent their squadron.
"In the spirit of friendly competition, we reaffirm our dedication to the principles of freedom and democracy as the basis of our continued strength and friendship," said Col. John Pearse, 8th FW commander.
Airmen and civilians from all units are encouraged to participate and sign up no later than Sept. 17.
"The Kunsan Olympics is a great way to strengthen our relationship with the ROKAF while also having a good time," said Master Sgt. Christopher Goninan, 8th FW Olympics point of contact. "The more players and teams from your unit that place, the better chance your unit has at winning first place."
