Here's what's happening on the bases in Korea. We want to list all the events on all bases so if you know of any events, gatherings, classes, etc., that you want us to post here, let us know! (This was updated Nov. 29)
CAMP HUMPHREYS
NOV. 29-30: An Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop will be conducted at Freedom Chapel (Bldg. 701), from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The workshop is a two-day (15 hour) certification course designed to help participants recognize the warning signs and risk factors associated with suicide and learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risks of suicide. For more information, contact Victor Arthur, the USAG Humphreys suicide prevention program manager, at 753-6979.
NOV. 29-DEC. 2: The Focused Passage NEO Exercise will be held. Check with Unit NEO Wardens to assure that packets are complete and up-to-date.
NOV. 30-DEC. 2: The Humphreys Holiday Bazaar, featuring Korean vendors, home-based businesses, food and gift-wrapping, will be held in the Super Gym. Friday: 6:30-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. This event is a joint venture between DFMWR and the United Club.
E-7 BOARD PHOTOS – Although the E-7 Promotion Boards won’t meet until January, Staff Sergeants who will be going before the board need to make an appointment now for their official photos in order to avoid the last minute rush. Go to www.vios-west.army.mil and schedule your appointment.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN – Attached is information and the required form for Free or Reduced-Priced School Lunches. As the information points out, you can take the completed form to Parent Central with the required documentation and it will be processed by the School Liaison Office. USFK Regulation 190-1 (Motor Vehicle Traffic Supervision) has been revised with the following substantial changes: it eliminates the need for high-visibility outer upper-body garments, reflective vests or belts when riding motorcycles; all motorcycles/mopeds regardless of size of cubic centimeters (CC's) must be registered at the Area VRO; handicap decals issued by USFK vehicle recorders are only valid on USFK installations. The Family Readiness Center is temporarily closed because of a bad roof leak. Activities have been moved to the Main ACS as a result. The FRC should reopen next week.

EFFECTIVE NOV 24 -- All passengers on Korean public buses and taxis will be required to fasten seatbelts when traveling. According to the revised laws, all passengers taking public buses, including long distance intra-city (blue buses) and express intercity buses (red buses) and taxis must buckle up while the vehicles are in operation. Intra-city village buses (green buses) that travel a short distance in a particular region and small shuttle buses are excluded from the plan.
