What we’re thankful for
Editor’s note: Students at The Sullivans School on Yokosuka Naval Base recently took the time to reflect on what they are thankful for. Here’s what some of them came up with.
I am thankful for my baby brother for keeping me company when no one is around. I am thankful for my older brother for playing with me.

I’m thankful for my dog because he is so funny and nice and he wakes me up in the morning.

I am thankful for my parents. They cook good and healthy food. They tell me what is wrong and what is right. That is why I am thankful for my parents.

I am thankful for my sister. She is very nice and helps me when I need her. For example, one time, I almost drowned when I was 5-6 years old at my friend Mory’s party . My sister jumped in and saved me. She’s my hero!
From your evil sister, Maya

I am thankful for my school and support because if we had no school and no support we would be hopeless, knowing nothing.
Skye Samson –age 9 The Sullivans School
I am thankful that I’m alive, that I’m in school, that I have a great mom and dad who love me, and that I have 3 meals and 2 snacks every day.
Joshua Crockett –age 9 The Sullivans School
I am thankful for my family because they take care of me and they also give me so much love and the cherish me. I am also thankful for my teacher , Mr. Peldunas because he teaches me everything I need to know to be a 4th grader. He also helps me when I don’t get how to do it. I am also helpful for the Navy because they help the community and help people in need. As I think about these three things, I realize that I have may reasons to be thankful. My family, my teacher, and the Navy, these things are important to me.
