The Korean Association of Foreign Language Academics – Or KAFLA’s - next charity event on Sunday May 17th sees a two-hour walk around raising proceeds for a school construction in Nepal.

The fifth event starts at Gwanghwamun Open Civil Park and guides participants around the grounds in a group Walkathon that loops the Gyeongbukgong palace and the residences of Bukchon.

The walk is estimated to run between 9.00am and 11.00am before meeting again at the original starting point. Walkers will be rewarded with souvenirs and treasure hunt prizes, in a schedule of events aimed at all ages.

Indeed, activities do not stop there with an adult dodgeball game and a children’s color board obversion (a flipping the color type of board game) in a certain time scheduled after the walk. The morning closes with a raffle prize draw with some great prizes and give-aways including up to KRW300,000 prizes for the first to third placed photos contest, 30 performance tickets or bottles of Meokolli as treasure hunt prizes  and hundreds of coupons for snack and even cosmetic sets. The last six people standing for the Dodge Ball game will win a voucher for Adventure Korea Travel Ticket.

This charity event promises to be fun with the KRW10,000 entrance fee guaranteeing participants the community walkathon, games and prizes. With all proceeds donated to the “3rd World School Construction” project, money raised will go toward building a school in rural Nepal for children lacking educational opportunities.
