SC 3RD MI POL executed Fuel Handlers Training with several petroleum supply specialists assigned to Camp Humphreys. The training which was hosted by the 602nd ASB, covered 40-hrs of MOS specific tasks, and certified soldiers in several petroleum systems. The training and certification took place at Camp Stanley, both hands on, and in classroom setting.

Two aircraft fuel handlers assigned to HSC 3rd MI were in attendance and certified in items such as Fuel System Supply Point (FSSP), Petroleum Accountability, Petroleum Quality Assurance and Safety, HEMTT Tanker Aviation Refueling System (HTARS), Firefighting operation, Forward Arming and Refueling Point operations (FARP) by conducting hot refuel.

Aircraft fuel handlers were certified after receiving proper examination, and hands on evaluation on 10 MOS specific tasks. In addition, the soldiers received experience in hot refuel support to UH-60 blackhawk airframe. This combined training will enable the 3rd MI to work together with other aviation assets and further enable the aoldiers to “fight tonight.”
