Col. Brandon D. Newton, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I, presents the Commander's Award for Civilian Service to Ronald D. Ware, chief of the 411th Contracting Support Brigade's Construction and Supply Division, during a brief ceremony on Camp Red Cloud in Uijeongbu Oct. 25. Within the period of Aug. 15, 2015 to Sept. 30, Ware was instrumental in shepherding through to completion under tight deadline...s 162 contracts valued at more than $91 million, for USAG Red Cloud and Area I's Directorate of Public Works.

The contracts were of various types - construction, maintenance and repair - and some were critically important in preparing buildings and other work areas for rotational units that now serve nine-month tours in Area I. According to the written citation accompanying the award, Ware's performance was marked consistently by a "high standard of dependability, responsiveness, and superior quality," as well as "outstanding abilities" and "strong leadership."
