Reason for nomination: "Staff Sgt. Jeremy Roberts sits as NCO in charge of the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron maintenance supply liaison section. During the week, he played a vital role in expediting four mission capable (MICAP) conditions with bad status to positive status with shipment dates. These MICAPs had little to no supply demand in the supply pipeline and were not expected to arrive until middle to late October. Roberts aggressively worked with item managers and other bases to improve when we would receive the assets. He managed three shipments to Misawa Air Base, Japan, to repair three navigation lights. These would not normally be available for issue until October, but we received them back in serviceable condition within four days. He also worked with Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., MICAP managers and maintenance back shops to procure structural materiel needed to fabricate an aircraft component handle. His efforts resulted in four aircraft being upgraded to fully mission capable (FMC) status, increasing the 8th Fighter Wing FMC rate to 78 percent. Roberts was praised by Col. Ray Lindsay, 8th Maintenance Group commander, as being one of the best maintenance supply liaisons he's seen in his nearly 25 years of service," Master Sgt. Anthony Rettig, 8th LRS.
