Wolf Pack Hero: Staff Sgt. Sonja Lund
“When the recession hit in 2009, I was just graduating college and felt that it was as good a time as any,” said Staff Sgt. Sonja Lund, 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron.
“Almost all of my friends had a job offer when we began our senior year in 2008, but by the time graduation rolled around more than half got those offers revoked, so it was a rough time.
The plan was always to serve.
I was born in Norway when my Dad was stationed there during his time in the Air Force and he was a big influence on why I joined.
He has always been there for me as such a positive influence in my life and I knew from an early age that it was partially due to the Air Force who instilled that work ethic into him.
Just like he passed down his love for the Air Force, he and I both love our careers within LRS and I hope to follow in his footsteps and retire at 20 years.”
