Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival
Date: Until May 19
Location: Area of Hoedong-ri, Gogunmyeon, Jindo-gun
Introduction:
Once a year at Jindo Island in Jeollanam-do, the sea mysteriously parts and visitors can walk through the sea from the main island to a smaller nearby island. This phenomenon is due to the buildup of pebbles and sand created over time with the tide, creating a 2.8-kilometer-long road measuring 40-60 meters in width that appears at extreme low-tide. 
The Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival takes place at the same time as this phenomenon. Visitors can enjoy walking along the sea road, gathering abalone and various other fun activities that make up the festival program. The spectacular sight of the sea parting is widely known and about half a million visitors flock from all over the world just to witness this amazing event.

From Jindo Bus Terminal, take the Gagye-Hoedong or Songgun-Hoedong bus. Get off at Hoedong. Go 40m along the sea to reach the festival venue.

Miryang Ariang Festival
Date: Until May 20
Location: Areas of Yeongnamru Pavilion and Miryang riverside
Introduction:
Arirang is a national folk song that was registered in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012. Arirang was created by a warrior monk during the Imjin War to express the principles and faithfulness of the Korean people under Sung Confucianism. There are many varieties of the song throughout each region, with changes happening continually over time. Miryang Arirang Festival celebrates this important intangible heritage through many programs and performances. Visitors can experience both the  similarities and differences of the three major styles of Arirang (Miryang Arirang, Jeongseon Arirang, Jindo Arirang).

From Seoul Station take a train to Miryang Station. Take Bus No. 1 from Miryang Station Bus Stop. Get off at Yeongnamru Pavilion Bus Stop.
Bus
From Gangnam Express Bus Terminal, take an express bus to Miryang Intercity Bus Terminal. Cross the street to and take Bus No. 1 from Intercity Bus Terminal Bus Stop (by Dangok Pharmacy). Get off at Yeongnamru Pavilion Bus Stop.

Namwon Chunhyang Festival
Date: May 18 – May 22
Location: Gwanghalluwon Garden & Yocheon Stream areas
Introduction:
Namwon Chunhyang Festival celebrates the love between Chunhyang and Lee Mongryong, based on the famous Korean love story, Chunhyangjeon. This festival about the strength of love takes places every spring in Namwon, the setting of this classic story. The festival aims to spread the story not only around Korea but to international visitors as well, through hands-on experiences and moving performances.

Yeoju Ceramic Festival

Introduction:
Yeoju Ceramic Festival is held every year to promote and develop the Yeoju ceramic industry and raise the level of awareness for Yeoju ceramics.

Ulsan Grand Park Rose Festival

Introduction:
Ulsan Grand Park Rose Festival has been held since 2005 and has on exhibit about 3 million roses in a vast rose garden (44,737㎡). In particular, premium rose species are widely planted. The festival offers diverse views of beautiful roses from themed gardens such as Cupid Garden, Venus Garden, and Rose Hills. Upon entering the rose garden, 
visitors can see many birds and animals.

Gokseong International Rose Festival

Location: Rose Park of Seomjingang Train Village
Introduction:
Gokseong-gun, famous for the its train village, annually holds the Gokseong Rose Festival at the Rose Park located within the train village. Rose varieties from worldwide will 
entertain visitors while offering perfect photo opportunities. Visitors can also appreciate the virbrant beauty of roses while taking a ride on a railbike or by participating in various hands-on activities.

Chuncheon International Mime Festival

Location: Jungang-ro, Festival Theater Momzit, Animation Museum, Seumusup Park, and Waterfront Park in Chuncheon
Introduction:
As one of 3 biggest mime festivals in the world, Chuncheon International Mime Festival will be held throughout downtown Chuncheon in Jungang-ro, Festival Theater Momzit, Animation Museum, Seumusup Park, and Waterfront Park in Chuncheon. The festival focuses on the genre of mine based on ‘body, movement, and image’ to 
express various genres.

Namchuncheon Station (Gyeongchun Line), Exit 1. Take Bus No. 9 to Yaksa Apartment. Go about 100m towards Nambu 4-way Intersection, and turn left. 
Go about 200m forward to arrive at Festival Theater Momzit.

Take an intercity bus to Chuncheon. From Chuncheon Intercity Bus Terminal, go about 500m towards E-Mart. Outside Namchuncheon Subway Station, take Bus 9 to Yaksa Apartment. Go about 100m towards Nambu 4-way Intersection, and turn left. Go about 200m forward to arrive at Festival Theater Momzit.

Busan Port Festival

Introduction:
Busan Port Festival has been held annually since 2008 to introduce one of the top five ports in the word, Busan Port, and offers a variety of programs, combined with Busan port-related industry, culture and education. Also, related corporations, organizations and universities take part in the festival to introduce the world-class port festival all 
over the world. One of the outstanding programs featured at the festival is the Busan Port Tour, in which visitors get on a ship to see North Port. Another popular program 
is the Embarkment Experience that displays a naval vessel and marine police vessel, both of which are rare to see.

Suwon Theatre Festival

Introduction:
The annual Suwon Theatre Festival offers various entertaining performances set before the background of UNESCO World Heritage Site Hwaseong Fortress. The festival is a major performing arts event of Korea and has earned much recognition over the many years since it was first established in 1996.

Gwanghwamun International Art Festival

Introduction:
Gwanghwamun Square is one of Korea’s distinct locations for wide variety of activities and histories that took place. The Gwanghwamun International Art Festival is designed 
to increase public knowledge and appreciation for the arts and culture. In addition to the art exhibitions, visitors will also be able to enjoy various performances and try  different kinds of arts and crafts such as ceramics, silver handicrafts, leather handicrafts, and more. The festival is also making a continuous effort to deliver more exciting programs and activities for the visitors’ enjoyment.

Spring Festival of the Garden of Morning Calm

Introduction:
The Garden of Morning Calm is one of Korea’s major botanical gardens, attracting about 700,000 tourists from home and abroad annually. The garden aims to promote the beauty of Korean flowers and plants to the world. They also play a huge role in developing Korea’s garden culture. Every year during The Garden of Morning Calm’s Spring Festival, the garden is covered with a rich tapestry of color from the thousands of flowers and trees in full bloom. From the promenade surrounded by a refreshing pine grove, to the 330,000㎡ flower garden, the entire arboretum overflows with nature’s beauty and grace. In addition, the garden holds a range of exhibitions, cultural events and educational programs during the festival.

Take bus 1330 at Cheongnyangni Transfer Center (in front of Lotte Department Store) and get off at the Cheongpyeong Bus Terminal. From Cheonpyeong Terminal, take a 
bus bound for The Garden of Morning Calm.

Seoulland Character Flower Festival is a fun spring-time festival featuring popular children’s characters. The festival transforms the amusement park into a colorful garden with flowers of all types. nature through the exhibitions and events. The highlight of the festival is the jungle-themed night parade!

Korean Folk Village Variety Festival "Welcome to Joseon"

Introduction:
The best cultural theme park in the nation, Korean Folk Village hosts the “Welcome to Joseon” Variety Festival each spring. Programs include parades and performances as well as hands-on activities and cast members wandering freely throughout the park to interact with visitors. Travel in time back to the Joseon Dynasty with the characters in a 
interesting and real comedy act.

Herb Island Light Festival - Lighting & Illumination

Herb Island Lighting & Illumination Fesitval features a romantic ambience created by splendid lightings. It is comprised of a pink wish tunnel, sparkling buildings, Santa Village, photo zone and other twinkling places for visitors to enjoy.
