Korea Travel Expo 2017: All about domestic travel Feb. 16 - 19
The main theme of the Korea Travel Expo is New Discovery about My Country. As its name implies, little-known great restaurants, beautiful spots, and streets will be introduced with a concept of “taste and beauty of ROK.”
Visitors have firsthand experience of regional culture and vicarious satisfaction from spectacular sceneries of all parts of the country. Needless to say, all kinds of travel information will be provided by tourist service businesses: hotels, travel agencies, resorts, theme parks and transport.
And that’s not all. Several popular travel writers are going to give travel counseling and lectures. Oh, don’t forget a souvenir; visitors can purchase local products not available in the capital area. Visitors to the Korea Travel Expo 2017 can also listen a variety of stories of tourist sites in each booths. The storytellers, culture and tour guides of each regions will be waiting for guests. The experience zone that introduces all kinds of performance and culture will give not only pleasure but also valuable experience to guests.
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is planning to host the Korea Travel Expo 2017, with supervision by Korea Tourism Including more than 150 local governments, 400 organizations over the country will be participating the Korea Travel Expo 2017. It is expecting that the Expo will be the largest tourism exposition with 650 booths.
As the domestic tourism has become a hot issue because of the current recession, the festival office will put its efforts to publicize the Korea Travel Expo 2017. The festival office is trying to advertise it in all directions: not only proven public relations tools, such as broadcasting and newspapers but also online PR (social media and promotions in web pages to target at the young and expats), supporters programs, and street promotions. By using various PR tools, the festival office invites as many people as possible and leads the regional tourism boom.
