The Busan English Theatre Association returns with a fantastic community theater production of Tom Stoppard’s absurdist, existential tragicomedy “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” at the Butterfly Theater next to Suyeong Station.
Three performances are set for Saturday, November 24th at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 25th at 2:00 p.m.
First staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1966, the plot revolves around two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the courtiers Rosencrantz and Guildenstern who are caught in the middle of Shakespeare’s tale of murder and madness.
Tickets cost 15,000 won at the door.
BETA has successfully performed “Rope” and “Almost an Evening: A collection of one-act plays written by Ethan Coen” as part of their Autumn/Winter productions in the past three years.
