AFN Debuting Military Makeover With Montel
The American Forces Network (AFN) announced today that a show that changes the lives of deserving veterans, Military Makeover with Montel, will debut on AFN|pulse Nov. 1 at 10 p.m.
Hosted by Emmy-winning talk-show host, Montel Williams, the series chronicles Williams and his team of volunteers as they renovate the homes of veterans in the United States. Williams served for 22-years in the Navy and Marine Corps. During his show, he transforms the homes and lives of military families with help from Fortune 500 companies, designers, contractors, landscapers and other types of home improvement companies.
“I’m very excited to share Military Makeover with military families around the globe,” said Williams. “I’ve often said that when I ‘left’ the military I never really took my uniform off and Military Makeover has provided me a powerful platform to continue my advocacy on behalf of military and veteran families and do what I can to make life better for some very deserving families.” WWE Superstar Lacey Evans, who is also a veteran, will join Williams on the show.
“The American Forces Network and Montel Williams share a common goal: enhancing the morale of our American military service members and their families,” said AFN spokesman George A. Smith. “AFN is pleased to serve as the bridge with a veteran such as Montel, who remembers his brothers and sisters in arms in a tangible way with his Military Makeover show.”
AFN is seen and heard in more than 160 countries and U.S. territories overseas, as well as U.S. Naval Ships afloat around the world.
