AFN returning to regular schedule
American Forces Network (AFN) viewers will soon be able to watch their favorite TV shows as they did before COVID19 forced AFN to revamp scheduled programming.
AFN takes the first steps to return to its pre-COVID19 schedule on June 1, gradually adding shows to its lineup as they become available.
AFN|news will return to its pre-COVID19 schedule on June 1, to include returning the CBS, NBC and ABC newscasts to AFN|prime and recording and playing back a number of popular news and commentary shows at times more convenient for viewers who don’t own decoders capable of recording and playing back shows.
As broadcast networks in the United States air more sporting events, so will AFN. Fans will see increased live sporting events in June, to include NASCAR, UFC, WWE, Supercross, golf and bowling. AFN is also refreshing its lineup of classic sports as it waits for the return of Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association and National Hockey League action.
AFN will continue to simulcast AFN|sports and AFN|sports2 until more sports programming becomes available and COVID19 conditions change enough to allow operation of two live sports control rooms at the AFN Broadcast Center in Riverside, California.
Viewers will see the return of daytime and late night talk shows and soap operas as well as Food Network, Home and Garden Television and other lifestyle programs on AFN|prime and AFN|spectrum.
AFN|family returns new family-friendly episodes of Together Time series each weekend, and, on AFN|pulse, popular cable reality series shows are coming back.
AFN|movie offers a wide variety of entertainment in June, including the movies A Quiet Place, The Danish Girl and Men in Black International.
