Two of Busan’s local craft brewers came away with some major awards at the inaugural Asia Beer Championship in Singapore.

Galmegi Brewing Company came away with two Gold accolades for their Yuzu Gose and their Espresso Vanilla Stout.

The brewers also notched two “Chairman’s Selections” for their Red Devil RyePA and also their Gamegi IPA which are beers that missed out on top awards but are deemed as excellent beers that have achieved a high standard.

Gorilla Brewing Company also hauled in some awards, winning a bronze for the Gorilla London IPA and their British Stout. They also received a Chairman selection for their Busan Pale Ale.

The competition was open to entries from breweries based in the Greater Asia region, stretching from Jordan all the way to Japan.

Over 200 entries were entered in the competition with the IPA and Hazy IPA categories the most hotly contested.
