The BIWA Christmas Charity Bazaar returns to the Haeundae Grand Hotel 2nd floor Convention Hall on Saturday, December 1st from 10 am – 4 pm.

This fun and exciting international holiday event is open to all citizens in the Busan area and admission is free.

The Christmas Bazaar is a family-oriented event, which features many sales booths with handcrafted holiday items, home-baked cookies, cakes, international foods and activities for children in the Kid’s Corner. Musical performances throughout the day will feature children’s choirs and orchestras from the foreign schools in Busan as well as a visit from Santa.

Being a charitable organization for 55 years, BIWA is operated by volunteers and is committed to cultural exchange and welfare work. The purpose of the Christmas Charity Bazaar is to raise funds for Busan neighbors in need, for whom BIWA has provided support for many years. These include local orphanages, study rooms for children from low-income families, disabled persons and the elderly. All proceeds from this event will help fund the BIWA Welfare work for one year to come.

This year’s event is sponsored by Haeundae-Ku District Office, Haeundae Grand Hotel and Haps Magazine.

Anyone looking to volunteer at the event can do so here.
