BUSAN, Republic of Korea (Dec., 14 2018) - Senior Chief Logistics Specialist Sourideth Soumphonphakdy, assigned to Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea (CNFK) reads stories to students at Busan Foreign School as part of "Operation Sweet Treat." Operation sweet treat allowed CNFK Sailors to give back to the local community by volunteering at local schools in Busan. CNFK is the U.S. Navy's representative in the Republic of Korea, providing leadership and expertise in naval matters to improve institutional and operational effectiveness between the two navies and to strengthen collective security efforts in Korea and the region.
