The United States Army Garrison Daegu held the Leadership through Engagement, Agility, and Development (USAG-D LEAD) Closing Ceremony on 27 July 2018 at 1400 in the Garrison Headquarters. 10 of our emerging leaders were celebrated for successful completion of a rigorous six-month local professional development program. This event highlighted a keynote address from the Deputy Garrison Commander, Mr. William C. Butcher. Mr. Butcher (Ret. COL) shared leadership insights related to his Army career, which includes both military and civil service ranging from a rifle and specialty platoon leader in South Korea to a Special Operations Support Team (SOST) Leader assigned with the Interagency Task Force in Washington DC.

Mr. Butcher's address kicked off a quarterly series offered to the AREA IV community which recognizes that investing in the workforce and larger community, and developing them for future leadership positions, is critical to sustaining and advancing the Army mission.
