Happy Chuseok!

Kunsan Air Base

We take great pride here at the Wolf Pack in sharing the base with many of our Korean friends and in so doing we have the opportunity to take part in the culture and heritage that is rich here.

The Chuseok holiday was originally known as hangawi, which is an antiquated Korean translation of “the great middle of autumn.”

Essentially it’s what we know as Thanksgiving in the U.S. As one of the biggest and most celebrated holidays, Mayor Moon sent the Wolf Pack bags of locally harvested rice and apples to include us in the celebration!

We couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of the Gunsan and greater Korean community and share food and stories while giving thanks.
