Health and beauty store Lalavla plans to expand its offerings around South Korea.

According to Inside Retail Asia, the brand which transitioned from Watson’s in February, is hoping to open 300 more stores this year in an aggressive expansion.

The new brand which launched in February has also revamped the interior design of its stores in order to lure younger shoppers and currently has 191 stores in the country.

The chain which is run by GS Retail in Korea, took full ownership of Watsons’ Korean business 12 months ago after acquiring the remaining 50 per cent in a JV held by Hong Kong-based AS Watson Group.
