Camp Humphreys, South Korea – Humphreys United Club, a nonprofit organization for spouses and community members committed to enhancing the quality of life for our installation and surrounding communities, has announced its community grants deadlines for the 2026-2027 board year.
The first deadline is Sept. 15, 2026. Subsequent grant deadlines are Nov. 15, 2026, Jan. 15, 2027, and March 15, 2027.
Last year, the organization awarded $23,887 to community organizations across the Camp Humphreys Community, and organizers say they’re looking to expand their giving this year. Organizations who received funding included Cub Scout Pack 42, Humphreys Central Elementary School PTSO, Humphreys Youth Orchestra, Abandoned Bike Club, Humphreys High School Drama Club, Humphreys Middle School United Club Special Olympics, Military Police Regimental Association, The Camp Humphreys Volleyball Association, and more.
HUC President Lisa Tuzel said community grants are just one way HUC gives back to the community it serves. In addition to more than $23,000 awarded to community organizations through grants, HUC donated more than $8,100 in its Korean welfare initiatives, and another $4,750 in community support on post, including supporting the Warrior Food Pantry and supporting DoDEA teachers with meals during the federal government shutdown last fall. The club also provided $68,000 in scholarships to students to continue with their secondary education just last year alone.
The funds that support these community initiatives are raised through club fundraisers, including its Spring Annual Charity Event, as well as from the Humphreys United Club Thrift Store, where store profits support community initiatives, like grants and scholarships.

By shopping at the Thrift Store, by attending a fundraiser and so generously supporting our cause, and by supporting our incredible sponsors – both on- and off-post – you’re supporting the Warrior Food Pantry, the Middle School Special Olympics, Cub Scout Pack 42, and so many more wonderful organizations.”
