USAG Yongsan

Members of the Gyeonggi Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Veterans Affairs Association and their guests visited USAG Yongsan Sept. 1 for a quick lunch at the food court and a garrison windshield tour provided by Mr. An Chang-shin of the USAG Yongsan Public Affairs Office.

The group of elderly Korean veterans ranging from 61 to 82 years old expressed interest and curiosity in the garrison and how it has changed over the many decades since they were active service members during the Korean and subsequent wars.

Garrison Commander Col. Scott Peterson welcomed the group and Chapter President Moon, Yun-sik. Moon, who fought in the Korean War, said the visit was unforgettable and that he was grateful to the American Soldiers for protecting Korea.
