The city of Busan will implement a policy to limit the speed of vehicles to 50 kilometers per hour on major roads and 30 kilometers per hour on other roads.

Busan City and the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced this week that legal standards for the ‘Safe Speed 5030’ project are set to reduce pedestrian traffic accidents.

The Safe Speed 5030 project is scheduled to be implemented throughout Busan city starting from the second half of this year.

Roads with two or more lanes will have a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour while other minor roads including school zones and side roads will have a speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour.
