North Korea launches two more projectiles into sea, report says

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea fired two more projectiles into the sea off its eastern coast on Saturday, officials said, in its latest protest against joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises.

The latest launch — the fifth in just over two weeks — came hours after President Donald Trump said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent him a “beautiful letter” and complained about the “war games.”

The North fired the two projectiles from the city of Hamhung, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff. It did not immediately provide more details including the distance flown and altitude.
