South Korean employee of US Forces Korea tests positive for COVID-19, raising military’s total to seven

SEOUL, South Korea — A South Korean employee working for U.S. Forces Korea has tested positive for COVID-19, raising to seven the total number of military-linked infections, USFK said Friday.

The employees lives in Cheonan, south of the main U.S. military base, Camp Humphreys. That makes her the first USFK-linked patient outside of the southeastern area of Daegu.

“The employee is currently in isolation at her off-base residence in Cheonan as directed by (the Korea Centers of Disease Control and Prevention,)” USFK said in a press release.
