One of the more important things you will learn in any language is the numbers and counting system. This holds true in Korea. Korean numbers are divided into two separate but equally important groups. 
 
Pure-Korean numbers - generally used to denote Cardinal numbers  (※ One, two, three...§)  
Sino-Korean Numbers - generally used to denote Ordinal numbers (※ First, second, third...§)
