Tyophoon Soulik: Heavy rain and strong winds expected in Southern Korea

Busan Meteorological authorities have predicted that over 400mm of rain may hit the  Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam area this week.
It is expected that heavy precipitation of around 50mm per hour and accumulation more than 400mm of rain are likely to occur in the inland area of ​​Gyeongnam and west of Gyeongnam.
Typhoon Soulik is expected to affect the region from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon according to updated forecasts.
Strong winds are expected to pick up today around the southern region, especially around the coast and inland.
In particular, the southern coast is expected to have a very high waves from this morning.
Visitors to beaches and coastal residents should take precautions and keep up-to-date on the latest conditions.
“Since the hurricane course is fluid, please pay attention to the latest weather information until the time when Soulik is completely out of the peninsula,” an official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said.
