UNC NCC symposium in Korea

SEOUL, Republic of Korea (May 4, 2017) Rear Adm. Brad Cooper, commander, United Nations Command (UNC) Naval Component Command (NCC) poses with participants of the first-ever UNC NCC symposium. The mission of the United Nations Command Naval Component Command is to carry out the terms of the Armistice Agreement of July 27, 1953 in order to preserve peace in the waters surrounding the Korean peninsula, while being prepared to provide operational control for UNC Sending States naval forces assigned to UNC should the armistice fail.
