Vets tour DMZ with U.S. Forces Korea Commander

Four U.S. Korean War Veterans from the Korean Veterans Association toured the Demilitarized Zone with Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Steven L. Payton, USFK command sergeant major, at Churwon, Republic of Korea, Sept. 19. The tour was held in honor to commemorate their sacrifice and commitment during the war.
Decorated Korean War veteran James McEachin was among the four honored veterans. A Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient, McEachin served in the Korean War as a riflemen in King Company, 9th Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, during some of the bitter fighting during the 'Outpost War' along the 38th Parallel in 1952.
