At around 9 a.m. yesterday, a Chevrolet Spark fell into 3.5m deep Suyeong River after crashing into the bridge rail at the entrance of Jwasuyeong Bridge in Suyeong-district.

119 rescuers rescued the driver after 10 minutes by mobilizing divers and transferred the patient to a nearby hospital after carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The 63-year-old woman is being treated at the hospital but is known to be unconscious.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, believing that the vehicle fell into the river after crashing with an SM7 passenger car.
