On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Mr. Vincent Dupree of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Omega Sigma Chapter, delivered opening remarks during the Back-to-School Supply Giveaway held in the Humphreys High School parking lot at Camp Humphreys, United States Army Garrison.
In his remarks, Mr. Dupree expressed appreciation to Navy Federal Credit Union, the Republic of Korea (ROK) Divine Nine, Masonic, and Eastern Star organizations for their generous support for the initiative.
Mr. Dupree stated, “Because of your generous support, more children of all ages will begin the new school year with the essential school supplies they need to succeed. We sincerely appreciate your partnership, commitment to service, and continued dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of our youth. Together, we are investing in our children, strengthening our families, and building a stronger community.”
The collaborative effort provided more than 200 students and their families with free backpacks and essential school supplies as they prepare for the 2026–2027 school year.
The event concluded with students and families expressing their appreciation to the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Omega Sigma Chapter, for spearheading the community initiative. The successful giveaway demonstrated the power of partnership and a shared commitment to ensuring that local youth have the resources they need to begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
