The auditorium of Humphreys Middle School was filled with pride and gratitude on Thursday, November 6, 2025, as students, staff, and guests gathered for the school’s annual Veterans Day program. Held in the school’s auditorium, on Camp Humphreys Army Base in South Korea, the event honored the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces.

The ceremony opened with a welcome from the Mistress and Masters of Ceremony, followed by the Humphreys High School Junior ROTC presenting the colors. Next, the Humphreys Middle School Choir, under the direction of Ms. Virginia Ford, performed the “Star-Spangled Banner” and the Korean National Anthem, symbolizing unity and partnership between the United States and the Republic of Korea.

After a brief history of Veterans Day, the school recognized staff and guests who served in the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Reserves. As each name was called, the audience applauded in appreciation. All active-duty service members and veterans in attendance were also invited to stand and be honored.
