Busan Bites: Simplicity at its Best at Haeundae’s Hav Coffee

The new hot district behind Haeundae subway station has plenty of new cafes and restaurants but Hav Coffee stands out from the crowd.

The first thing that impressed me about Hav Coffee is the fact that, by Korean standards, they open quite early.

Located in a nice old brick building with a very simple decor, the simplistic vibe is mirrored in the menu.

They have a few coffee variations and some non-coffee drinks, as well as a simple cream bun.

The delicious pastry is made on site and the cream inside is gorgeous and velvety.

The flat white at Hav Coffee is very smooth with a little complexity. Their espresso though is definitely worth trying! It is not at all bitter and has a subtle saltiness at the back end. It’s ideal for someone just getting into espresso. The coffees match really well with the simple yet sweet cream bread.

Ordering is also not a problem at the cafe as the menu is in English and the owner can speak English as well.

The whole area behind the subway station is definitely worth checking out as there are new places opening every day.

Be sure to try Hav Coffee first though, as it will not disappoint.
