The city of Busan and the Busan Tourism Organization have launched the 2026 Busan Gourmet Selection, a month-long culinary promotion bringing together some of the city’s top restaurants to create exclusive collaboration menus available through June 30.
The initiative pairs restaurants from a variety of culinary backgrounds, including Korean, Western, Japanese, Thai, and vegan cuisine, encouraging chefs to reinterpret signature dishes or develop entirely new menus together.
A total of 26 restaurants have joined this year’s program as part of 13 collaboration teams.
Several participating restaurants have been recognized by the Michelin Guide Busan 2026, although this year’s event expanded eligibility through an open application process, allowing restaurants of all types to participate and helping showcase the diversity of Busan’s dining scene.
The limited-time menus are available only at participating restaurants throughout June. Menu details, pricing, and reservation requirements vary by venue.
Some of the collaboration teams will also participate in Port Village Busan 2026, a waterfront food and culture festival being held at Busan Port Pier 1 through June 21. The event combines food, lifestyle brands, performances, and cultural experiences in a large-scale outdoor setting overlooking the harbor.
Organizers expect the promotion to attract both residents and visitors, particularly during the period surrounding the BTS World Tour Arirang in Busan concerts on June 12 and 13.
Officials hope concertgoers will explore the city’s restaurant scene and incorporate the collaboration menus into their Busan travel plans.
Following a successful pilot program last year, Busan Gourmet Selection has now been established as a regular event. The city plans to hold the promotion twice annually, with a second edition scheduled for October during Festival Shiwol.
