The 2025 Lotte Love Sharing Project: 10,000-Head Kimchi Making Event took place at yesterday morning in front of Sajik Baseball Stadium.

Hosted and organized by Lotte Group affiliates in the region, the annual event supports low-income households during the winter season.

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, Busan City Council Chair An Seong-min, civic group representatives, and executives from 21 local Lotte subsidiaries joined the effort along with Lotte Giants players Kim Won-joong, Han Tae-yang, Yoon Seong-bin, Hong Min-gi, and Lee Ho-joon.

A total of 10,000 heads of kimchi, valued at 150 million won, was completed and distributed through food banks across 16 districts and counties in Busan to assist low-income residents.

Busan and Lotte Group have co-hosted this initiative every year since 2011. Now in its fifteenth year, the program has involved over 3,700 Lotte employees and donated more than 150,000 heads of kimchi, making it one of the largest kimchi-sharing events in the region.

The city is also expanding winter support measures for vulnerable groups, including heating assistance for welfare facilities, free meals for residents at risk of food insecurity, and winter subsidy programs.
