Busan specialty coffee brand Momo’s Coffee has been selected as one of the world’s 100 best cafés, one of only two Korean cafés to make the list.
The online ranking platform The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops revealed the results in Madrid on the 16th (local time). Momo’s Coffee ranked 22nd, while Seoul’s Lurii Coffee placed 51st.
Rankings were determined through a combination of public voting and expert evaluation, assessing coffee quality, barista expertise, customer service, and sustainability practices.
Founded in 2007 by Lee Hyeon-gi in a small takeaway shop in Oncheonjang, Geumjeong-gu, Momo’s Coffee has grown into an internationally recognized specialty coffee brand.
The company gained global attention after producing a World Barista Champion in 2019 and has since expanded beyond its original shop to locations in Yeongdo and Haeundae Marine City, as well as a cultural complex café inside the renovated former market residence Domoheon.
