An area of Jung-gu is set to be developed into a designated “Pizza Street” in Busan.
Local authorities announced plans to promote the area around Gwangbokjungang-ro, with signage expected to be installed near the Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum annex as early as next month.
While the exact boundaries have not been finalized, the street is expected to center around the four Lee Jae-mo Pizza locations in the area.
Home to the flagship store of Lee Jae-mo Pizza, the restaurant, which first opened in 1992, has built a strong reputation for its traditional-style pizza with generous toppings, drawing both domestic and international visitors.
The popularity of the restaurant has already had a visible impact on nearby businesses, with long wait times often exceeding one hour, leading visitors to spend time at surrounding cafés and shops.
