Busan’s annual Taste of Busan guidebook has been released, with this year listing 146 restaurants across the city. The guide is produced in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Alongside the restaurant listings, the edition includes chef interviews, a profile of local ingredient supplier Dosi Nongsakkun, and an appendix covering food streets such as Myeongjihangbokmaul Eatery Town and the Jagalchi Sheep Tripe Alley.
Thirteen dishes are highlighted as traditional Busan foods, among them milmyeon, dwaeji gukbap, dongrae pajeon, and jaecheop-guk.
Fifty of the listed restaurants have QR codes linking to menus in seven languages — English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Russian, and Arabic — through a city-run digital menu support programme.
A B-FOOD Recipe Season 3 section features finger food recipes developed with certified local food manufacturers.
The guidebook can be downloaded at visitbusan.net under Travel Prep > Guidebooks & Maps. Print copies will be distributed to selected restaurants, tourist information centres, consulates, and district offices. Collectible photo cards featuring the listed venues are set to be available free of charge at tourist information centres from mid-April.
