Busan, Kroea unveils seafood pizza to celebrate World Design Capital milestone

Busan has partnered with local restaurant Lee Jae-mo Pizza to launch a new signature menu celebrating the city’s designation as the 2028 World Design Capital (WDC).
The Busan Sea Pizza (WDC Pizza) will officially debut on July 21 at Lee Jae-mo Pizza’s Seomyeon Central branch.
The collaboration marks the first time the popular Busan pizza chain has introduced a seafood-based signature pizza.
The new menu showcases local ingredients, including Busan pollock fish cake from Goraesa, Busan salted pollock roe, and Gijang green onions, while the fish cake is shaped to resemble the waves of Gwangalli Beach.
A purple-colored “WDC Midnight Purple” drink inspired by the city’s World Design Capital branding will also be available.
To celebrate the launch, customers can participate in a social media event through August 31 for a chance to win pizza vouchers. Limited-edition collaborative merchandise will also be available while supplies last.
