Busan's April festivals feature locally grown foods

Festivals featuring locally grown foods will be held throughout the month of April in Busan.

The 19th Daejeo Tomato Festival, which offers visitors a taste of freshly harvested tomatoes, will take place from April 6 – 7 at Gangseo Sports Park.

The 10th Gijang Seaweed Festival also takes place next weekend for three days starting Friday featuring some local delicacies from the ocean.

The 23rd Gijang Anchovy Festival, famous for its spring anchovies, will also take place from April 25 – 28 at Daebyeon Harbor in Gijang. Visitors will be treated to savory anchovy dishes along with being able to purchase fishery products at reasonable prices. A variety of side events are also scheduled to be held.

At Daehang Port on Gadeok-do Island, the 14th Gadeok Mullet Festival will be held from April 26 – 28. Those attending are encouraged to taste the complementary foods provided and take part in the experience of catching a mullet.
