CU is launching a nationwide promotion on food, drinks and snacks ahead of the Asian Games, which begin September 19.

From September 15 through the end of the month, the convenience store chain will discount around 70 products commonly purchased while watching sporting events.

The promotion also includes items aimed at the Chuseok holiday period.

Beer deals begin September 10, with six 500ml cans of selected Tsingtao and Asahi Style Free products available for 12,000 won.

From September 19, 24-can boxes of Cass will be priced at 45,600 won for 355ml cans and 52,800 won for 500ml cans.

Additional pickup-only discounts will be available through the Pocket CU app from September 19 to 26, including four 500ml cans of Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc or Heineken for 8,000 won.

Selected whiskey and wine will also be discounted, along with snacks, prepared foods and small packages of fruit.
