Jinju traditional markets host fall festivals through November

Jinju is holding a series of events at seven traditional markets and shopping districts through November, with programs designed to bring more visitors to local commercial areas.
The Traditional Market Festival series began August 29 at Nongae Market with a children’s shopping experience and cooking class.
Similar events will be held in the coming months at Jungang Market, Cheonggwa Market, Jayu Market, Saeseobu Market, the Jungang Underground Shopping Center and the Rodeo Street shopping district.
Programs will vary by location and reflect the character of each market. Activities will include shopping experiences, stamp tours, discounts, hands-on booths and cultural performances.
The events are intended to give visitors more opportunities to explore Jinju’s traditional markets beyond shopping, with activities aimed at families and other local residents.
The festival series will continue at participating markets and shopping districts through November.
