Gimhae will host the 17th Gimhae Food Expo from April 30 to May 3, bringing together local food producers and visitors for a four-day event centered on regional cuisine and public health awareness.

Held around Daeseong-dong Tomb Museum and the nearby Gaya Street area, the expo has grown into one of the city’s signature food-related events since its launch in 2005.

This year, it will run alongside the broader Gaya Cultural Festival, which is expected to increase foot traffic and create a more connected festival atmosphere.

Under the theme “From Gaya’s Taste to the World’s Table,” 33 local food companies will participate, presenting a range of products that reflect the region’s culinary identity.

Visitors can explore exhibition booths, sample foods, and purchase items directly from producers.

In addition to food displays, the event includes public information programs covering topics such as food safety, mental health, dementia awareness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
