Major supermarket chains across Korea are rolling out large year-end promotions, offering discounts on fruits, meat, seafood, home-party items, and seasonal winter goods as temperatures drop.
E-Mart is marking its 32nd anniversary with the nationwide “GoRaeIt Festa,” running until December 10. Fresh strawberries (500g) are priced at 9,984 won through December 3, backed by a supply of 125 tons sourced from major producing regions. Processed foods like Nongshim’s new Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeum Myeon are being sold exclusively for 4,880 won, while brands such as Kellogg’s and CJ Bibigo offer 50% discounts on multi-buy purchases. Popular electronics, including the 24-inch “Great Portable Screen,” are also discounted. A second wave of fresh produce and appliance deals will follow, with half-price items available through Shinsegae Points.
Lotte Mart’s “Winter Happy Deal,” also running until December 3, features heavy discounts on seasonal fruits and home-party menus. Various Seolhyang strawberry varieties are available at reduced prices when buying two or more packs. New items like the pink “Silky Pink Tomato” (1kg) are priced at 7,990 won, and Christmas decorations and flowers are discounted by up to 30%.
Homeplus is offering warm winter soup ingredients through its “Tang! Tang! Tang! Festa” until December 3. Cod, monkfish, flatfish, mushrooms, water parsley, and garland chrysanthemum are available at up to 50% off for My Homeplus members. Around 20 meal kits also come with a 20% card discount.
