The MICHELIN Guide, the world’s most prestigious dining and hotel accommodation guide, will host the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Seoul & Busan 2026 on Thursday, March 5, at SIGNIEL Busan, to officially unveil the latest edition of the MICHELIN Guide for Korea.

Since the launch of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2017, the MICHELIN Guide has continuously revealed its selection of dining establishments in Seoul.

From 2024, the Guide expanded its coverage to include Busan, offering a more comprehensive perspective on the growing depth and diversity of Korea’s evolving gastronomic landscape.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in Korea, the MICHELIN Guide will present the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Seoul & Busan 2026 under the theme “A Decade of Journey”.

The event will unveil the 2026 restaurant selection while reflecting on the shared journey between the MICHELIN Guide and Korean gastronomy over the past decade, as well as looking ahead to its future.

Over the years, the MICHELIN Guide has closely observed the outstanding quality, creativity, and responsible practices demonstrated by restaurants across Korea.

Through its selections, the Guide has highlighted the dynamic diversity and potential of Korean cuisine and has contributed to elevating Korean chefs and restaurants onto the international stage.

By maintaining long-standing consistency, independence, and rigorous evaluation standards, the MICHELIN Guide has earned a high level of trust among chefs and diners alike.

During the MICHELIN Guide Seoul & Busan 2026 Ceremony, restaurants newly selected by the MICHELIN Guide inspectors in Seoul and Busan will be revealed, including MICHELIN Guide Star restaurants, which represent not only culinary excellence but also a trusted benchmark for diners and a source of recognition for chefs.

Ahead of the ceremony, the MICHELIN Guide Bib Gourmand 2026 selection, highlighting restaurants offering exceptional food at reasonable prices, will be announced one week prior to the official release date.

Beyond the restaurant selection, the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony also celebrates talent and dedication within the dining industry through its MICHELIN Guide Special Awards.

This year’s awards include the MICHELIN Guide Service Award, the MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award, and the MICHELIN Guide Sommelier Award, presented in partnership with Perrier-Jouët, an official partner of the MICHELIN Guide.

In addition, the MICHELIN Guide will introduce the Opening of the Year Award for the first time, team and individual who for the successful opening of a dining venue over the past 12 months, with a creative degustation concept and a cuisine approach that has made a notable impact on the local gastronomic scene.
